May chaos continued...
I hit send before I finished typing up my last report, so here are some additional details...
A video E took from the first day of the Air Show:
Some high quality photos I found from day 2 of the Air Show (in the rain):

A video from the drone show on Saturday night (notice how quiet it is, aside from my commentary):
And, we made it to the Hagi pottery festival!
Along the way we stopped to witness a well-known kodomo no hi (Children’s Day) event. Typically people fly koinobori (carp-shaped streamers) on a flagpole 🎏—the carp swimming upstream symbolize the desired strength and prosperity of their children—but in this town they unfurl the koinobori in the actual river!

At the pottery festival we enjoyed seeing all of beautiful works (and buying lots of them!) The traditional hagiware uses light colors, and some kilns use a very thick white glaze. We must have visited over 30 vendors around town, and came home with lots of treasures!

We also happened to be in town while the local natsu-mikan (summer oranges) were in season, so we picked up some of those too! Don't let them name fool you…they are pretty sour!

Ok, back to some more May chaos…the month has just begun!
Cheers! Kanpai!
P.S. Wile E is still trying to find a comfortable way to sit 😅

I agree with Ruth! You have explored so much about Japan and I’m so grateful that you have allowed us to see through your explorations! Thank you so much. I hope your move is smooth. Much love to you all!
Thanks for the additional videos and photos and information. 🎉
